2026 is the 10th anniversary of the Glengarry Pioneer Museum's Smith-In event! Hear the anvils ring as blacksmiths from across Ontario, Quebec and a few from the U.S.A. converge on Dunvegan. Over a dozen Blacksmiths will be in the Williams Pavilion, historic Hamelin Blacksmith Shop and museum grounds, forging various hardware that will be donated to the museum. Hooks, latches, hinges, hmm... what do we need? How exciting!Although the museum is open all weekend, the Smith-In activities are focused on SATURDAY only this year. SATURDAY:Blacksmiths demonstrating various projectsReplica 19th century bellows forge demonstrationLocal craft vendors will be selling their goods (Saturday only)Children's activities such as making your own weathervane or whirligigFood for sale via.
